Miracles and Such

There's a lot that's been going on in the news. The sadness over the Mt. Hood climbers. The loss of President Gerald Ford. It just keeps coming. The ups and downs.

Then some good news, two boys are found alive in Missouri. Alive! One after four years. I was so happy to hear. But at the same time, sad for all the missing children still unfound.

If I can be a bit of a geeky dog, and dismiss the fact that I have read Orwell's 1984, maybe microchipping would be a good idea. I mean, us dogs are microchipped, and look how many pooches have returned years later.

Ok, so it's a kooky idea. But I'm beginning to think the loss of some privacy for the sake of safety might not be so bad.

Then again, I do find myself in awe when watching sprinklers on a hot summer day.
So, I could be wrong.

Big brother is always watching, right?
